Delegation from Thailand meets IDDC members in Brussels

On Monday 6th of July, a small delegation from Thailand, which was composed of both DPOs as well as government representatives came to Brussels. The program of their stay included meetings with Brussels-based members of IDDC, the European Disability Forum (EDF) and a visit to the disability unit at the European Commission (DG Employment and Social Affairs).

During the course of the day, the Thai delegation showed great interest in everyone's work in the field of disability and development. They were also fascinated by the way in which the disability movement in Europe is organised. They were particularly keen to learn more about the work of the European Union and in how far this could be a model for cross-border cooperation in their region.
