Access, Inclusion, Disability, Sexuality: Disability Zone at the XVIII World AIDS Conference, Vienna

The IDDC HIV&AIDS and Disability Task Group in collaboration with a number of organisations working in the field of disability and HIV&AIDS are pleased to announce the official program for the Disability Networking Zone (Click here to download the program ) at the International AIDS Conference in Vienna from 18th-22nd July 2010. The zone, titled 'Accessibility, Inclusion, Disability and Sexuality', will be open the whole week of the conference, located in the Global Village (conference registration is not required).

There will be a fantastic range of speakers and presenters to share their experience and work on HIV and Disability, from all corners of the world, some of whom are IDDC member’s partners. Throughout the week, participants will be able to hear the testimonies of several people with disabilities who are HIV positive. The presentations, discussions and films will cover such topics as how to reach people with different disabilities, the disabling effects of HIV and how to mainstream people with disabilities into existing HIV programs.

The Disability Networking Zone has been organised by a small task group including HEARD, IDDC, VSO, Liverpool VCT and EU-CORD, with the input, support and advice of many others.

Please feel free to forward the program widely to your contacts and networks!
