"Disability mainstreaming in Development Co-operation" is a project lead by IDDC member LIGHT FOR THE WORLD and financed by the European Commission's DG Employment and Social Affairs to break the cycle of poverty and disability in developing countries.

This project contributes to the overall goal to mainstream disability in development cooperation policies of the European Union Member States, the European Commission, and European NGOs working in the fields of development cooperation and humanitarian aid.

The project started in January 2006 and was finalized in the summer of 2008, after a six month extension.
