About the Task Group - Inclusive Education

The Inclusive Education Task Group is an advocacy and resource group whose vision it is to ensure that all people have access to a good quality and inclusive education.

We aim to:

  • Support other agencies, IDDC members and task groups in the area of inclusive education.
  • Influence and encourage mainstream development agencies and donors working in development cooperation so that education policy and practice is fully inclusive and so that persons with disabilities access their right to inclusive development.

The Task Group will encourage and try to facilitate coordination between initiatives working on inclusive education, as well as with other IDDC task groups while also encouraging country level advocacy initiatives and collaboration on inclusive education programmes.

The Task Group will engage actively in working together to influence donors around inclusive education and to share information on inclusive education between agencies and document learning on the issue.
