The UN Millennium Development Goals of reducing poverty can only be achieved if people with disabilities are included in efforts to combat poverty. That was stated at the seminar Assistance on an equal basis which Shia, one of IDDC members organized on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December 2010.
A prerequisite for including everyone in poverty reduction is to aid participants acquire knowledge about the lives of persons with disabilities and ensure that all reach the operations and is involved in development work.
