About Making Development Inclusive 2010-2012

‘Making Development Inclusive’ aimed to improve mainstreaming of disability in international development activities conducted by European state and non-state actors in line with the CRPD.

More specifically, the project focused on strengthening the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC) as an expert civil society resource on disability and international development issues for the European Commission, European Member States and Non State Actors in Europe thereby promoting consistent understanding and implementation of the CRPD in Member States development cooperation.

Under this project, IDDC built up its capacity to advocate successfully at the EU level and will develop materials and resources to assist practitioners and policy-makers in making inclusive international development a reality. IDDC was strengthened as a hub for the provision of expertise on mainstreaming disability in development to national and international state and non-state actors.
