The ONCE Foundation for Latin America (FOAL) was founded in 1998 and through it, ONCE extends its action towards the promotion of human rights to persons with visual disability in Latin America. FOAL’s work focuses on educational, employment and social inclusion of persons who are blind or low vision in 19 Latin American countries, in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Through its work, it is also contributing to advancing the SDGs within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.

FOAL works in alliance with other disability movements, civil society and public administration. The work of FOAL is complementary to that of the rest of the ONCE Social Group.
