Sightsavers works in more than 30 countries worldwide, focusing on Africa and Asia to eliminate avoidable blindness and promote the rights of people with disabilities.
Sightsavers’ vision is of a world where avoidable blindness has been eliminated, and people with visual impairments and other disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else.
Sightsavers partners with local, regional, national and international organisations, ministries, governments and non-governmental organisations. With their help, the organisation distributes treatments to prevent disease, carries out operations and eye examinations, advocates for disability rights and strengthens health systems to create sustainable development projects.
