It is with a great sense of sadness that we need to share with you the news that our board member and long-serving Light for the World staff member, François Carbonez, has passed away.

François shared the office with the IDDC Secretariat and has done a tremendous amount of work for our network, even before he became a Board member in 2016.

He will be missed for his great sense of (rather dark) humour, his intelligent and unique view on difficult issues, and his willingness to take on some of the less popular areas of board work.

We have lost not only a wonderful colleague but also a great friend.
