chance to speak with one voice about the things we all believe in<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\" data-extension-version=\"1.0.4\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/apus_text_img][apus_text_img block_icone=&#8221;254&#8243;]We work mainly through Task Groups.<\/p>\n<p>Task Groups are made up by IDDC members<br \/>\nthat work together to talk about their ideas and experiences.<\/p>\n<p>They decide together which strategies and activities<br \/>\nthey want to use.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, IDDC has 10 Task Groups:<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\" data-extension-version=\"1.0.4\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/apus_text_img][apus_text_img block_icone=&#8221;366&#8243;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Child Rights Task Group<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This Task Group wants to make sure that children with disabilities can enjoy their rights.<\/p>\n<p>Children with disabilities have the right to live a happy life and to be treated well.<\/p>\n<p>But very often their rights are not respected by others.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\" data-extension-version=\"1.0.4\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/apus_text_img][apus_text_img block_icone=&#8221;367&#8243;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Climate Action Task Group<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This Task Group works on making sure that people with disabilities are included in discussions about climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Climate change means that the world is getting warmer<\/p>\n<p>because people are doing things like using oil, gas and coal for their homes, factories and transport.<\/p>\n<p>The world getting warmer means that people all over the world experience<\/p>\n<p>more weather that causes emergencies like big storms and flooding.<\/p>\n<p>When emergencies happen it can be difficult to get help, food might be more difficult to buy.<\/p>\n<p>Climate change affects all people, including people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\" data-extension-version=\"1.0.4\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/apus_text_img][apus_text_img block_icone=&#8221;220&#8243;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Community-Based Inclusive Development Task Group<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This Task Group works on making use of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Agenda 2030<br \/>\nusing the Community-Based Inclusive Development approach.<\/p>\n<p>This approach wants to create equal opportunities and inclusion<br \/>\nfor all people with disabilities in their community.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\" data-extension-version=\"1.0.4\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/apus_text_img][apus_text_img block_icone=&#8221;225&#8243;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>European Union Task Group<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This Task Group works together with people<br \/>\nwho make decisions and laws<br \/>\nin the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>The European Union is a group of 27 countries in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>They agreed to work together and help each other.<\/p>\n<p>The European Union funds many projects outside of Europe<\/p>\n<p>that are important for people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>The European Union also makes laws<\/p>\n<p>that are important for inclusive development and humanitarian action.<\/p>\n<p>IDDC wants to make sure that the European Union includes<\/p>\n<p>people with disabilities in its laws and projects.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\" data-extension-version=\"1.0.4\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/apus_text_img][apus_text_img block_icone=&#8221;229&#8243;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inclusive Education Task Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All children with disabilities have the right to study and learn new things.<\/p>\n<p>In reality, many children with disabilities<br \/>\ncannot go to school for several reasons.<\/p>\n<p>This Task Group wants to make sure<br \/>\nthat children with disabilities in developing countries<br \/>\ncan go to school.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\" data-extension-version=\"1.0.4\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/apus_text_img][apus_text_img block_icone=&#8221;230&#8243;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inclusive Health Task Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In developing countries, many people with disabilities<br \/>\ndon\u2019t have health care because they don\u2019t have<br \/>\nthe money to pay for it.<\/p>\n<p>This Task Group wants to promote<br \/>\nan inclusive healthcare<br \/>\nfor people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\" data-extension-version=\"1.0.4\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/apus_text_img][apus_text_img block_icone=&#8221;368&#8243;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inclusive Safeguarding Task Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>People with disabilities are sometimes treated badly.<\/p>\n<p>Which is bad.<\/p>\n<p>People with disabilities don\u2019t always know how to defend themselves<\/p>\n<p>because they are discriminated, isolated or don\u2019t have support.<\/p>\n<p>This Task Group creates mechanisms to make sure people with disabilities are treated well.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\" data-extension-version=\"1.0.4\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/apus_text_img][apus_text_img block_icone=&#8221;369&#8243;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Livelihood Task Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Livelihood means the way people earn money<br \/>\nor get what they need to live, like food, shelter, and clothes. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It could be from a job, farming, running a business,<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>or other ways people make a living. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It is how someone supports themselves and their family.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>People with disabilities have the right<br \/>\nto work and earn money to live their life as they want.<\/p>\n<p>But very often people with disabilities have problems<br \/>\nto find a good job and earn money.<\/p>\n<p>This Task Group shares experiences in making workplaces<br \/>\nmore inclusive and accessible for people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\" data-extension-version=\"1.0.4\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/apus_text_img][apus_text_img block_icone=&#8221;351&#8243;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>O<\/strong><strong>rganisations of <\/strong><strong>P<\/strong><strong>ersons with <\/strong><strong>D<\/strong><strong>isabilities<\/strong> Partnership Task Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OPDs \u00a0are organisations or groups that are led by persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>They represent persons with disabilities and they work for disability rights.<\/p>\n<p>Most of their members should be persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>The OPD Partnership Task Group wants to make sure that<br \/>\nOPDs can take part in international cooperation work.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\" Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The United Nations is an international organisation.<br \/>\nIt works for peace and security everywhere in the world.<br \/>\nWe call it the UN for short.<br \/>\n193 countries are part of the United Nations.<br \/>\nThey meet to discuss important issues for the world.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, the United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.<br \/>\nThis Convention is a big document that explains<br \/>\nWhat are the rights of persons with disabilities?<br \/>\nMany countries signed the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities<br \/>\nand agreed to make the lives of people with disabilities better.<\/p>\n<p>The United Nations also agreed to make the world better.<br \/>\nThey set up 17 Sustainable Development Goals.<br \/>\nThey want to achieve these goals before the year 2030.<br \/>\nAll together, these goals form the Agenda 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Working with the United Nations is very important<br \/>\nif we want to see inclusive development and humanitarian action<br \/>\nall around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The United Nations Task Group wants to make sure<br \/>\nthat countries will put the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities<br \/>\nand Agenda 2030 into practice.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ConnectiveDocSignExtentionInstalled\"
