The Global Forum for Adolescents (GFA) will take place on 11-12 October 2023 and will be the world’s largest virtual gathering for adolescent well-being, bringing together youth and adolescents, advocates and global decision-makers. The GFA is an initiative of the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH). You can find out more at www.1point8.org.
The IDDC Inclusive Health Task Group has led the development of a session focusing on the inclusion of adolescents and young people with disabilities – in partnership with UNICEF, the UN Office of the Secretary General’s Envoy on Youth (OSGEY), Gender and Adolescence: Global Evidence (GAGE), and the Human Sciences Research Council.
The disability inclusion session will take place on 12 October between 16:00-16:50 CEST. To participate in the event, you will need to register for the GFA. Please note that it is not possible to register for a single event: registration gives access to the overall GFA platform (which will go live in a few days), able to and you will be able to tune in the disability session from there.
Please also do read the overall programme of the GFA as there are may interesting sessions planned over the course of the two days – and feel free to circulate information abut the GFA among your networks.
