Safeguarding for Development Conference 2019

Julia Kragulj​, Safeguarding Advisor at The Leprosy Mission England and Wales, will speak on behalf of the International Disability and Development Consortium at the Safeguarding for Development Conference 2019, and in particular during the break out session “intersectionality and safeguarding”. She will provide inputs on inclusive  safeguarding and how an intersectional approach contributes to better practice and help address vulnerabilities.

Over the last 18 months, organisations across the international development and humanitarian sector have worked to improve safeguarding standards and practices. This conference is your opportunity to:

  • Reflect on the sector’s progress towards better safeguarding practice
  • Provide a space to share experience, knowledge and learning
  • Discuss where further attention is needed.

Last year’s event brought together 240 people from 183 organisations to work on creating sector-wide solutions to safeguarding.
