Enabling the Forgotten: Inclusion as a Key Factor to Fast-Track the End of AIDS amid Sustainable Development

The UNAIDS High Level Meeting (UNAIDS HLM) taking place 8-10 June in New York, will focus the world’s attention on the importance of a Fast-Track approach towards the AIDS response over the next five years. The UNAIDS Fast-Track approach aims to attain the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target of ending the AIDS pandemic by 2030. This historic event will bring together world leaders, HIV experts and Civil Society Organisations in order to ensure no one is left behind in attaining this goal.

A representative of the IDDC HIV and Disability Task Group, Dr. Jill Hanass-Hancock, will be attending the UNAIDS HLM to ensure people with disabilities are included in the Fast-Track approach. A flyer has been developed to hand out to participants during the HLM.
