Source is an International Online Resource Centre designed to strengthen the management, use and impact of information on disability and inclusion in development and humanitarian contexts. It is primarily intended for use by practitioners and academics.

Source is a project run by Humanity & Inclusion. IDDC and several IDDC members are partners. Its mission is to use available expertise to support the dissemination, repackaging and sharing of information on disability and inclusion in challenging contexts to support practitioners and promote research, innovation, learning and training as well as North-South organisational linkages. Source provides free access to a unique online collection of information resources. These include:

  • books
  • journals
  • manuals
  • toolkits
  • reports
  • posters
  • audiovisual materials
  • websites and organisations.

Many materials are from developing countries and include both published and unpublished literature not readily available elsewhere. Source is regularly reviewed in close partnership with expert organisations and individuals so that it offers up-to-date, relevant information. It offers a key point of access to free electronic, up-to-date, relevant information relating to disability and inclusion in development and humanitarian contexts. The underlying principle of Source is to promote the full participation people with disabilities in society.
