What we do?

IDDC is led by its members.

This means that our members decide what we work on.

Our members meet in smaller groups that we call Task Groups.

We have 10 Task Groups:

  1. Child Rights Task Group
  2. Climate Action Task Group
  3. Community-based Inclusive Development Task Group
  4. European Union Task Group
  5. Inclusive Education Task Group
  6. Inclusive Health Task Group
  7. Inclusive Safeguarding Task Group
  8. Livelihood Task Group
  9. Organisations of Persons with Disabilities  Partnership Task Group
  10. United Nations Task Group

We also work on different projects.

Our work is based on a strategic framework.

A strategic framework is a plan to decide what work we should do.

In 2023, IDDC adopted a new plan that we call ‘Strategic Framework 2023+’.

The Strategic Framework 2023+ includes 3 priorities:

1. We want to continue making the world a better place for people with disabilities.

We will do that by supporting the work on Agenda 2030.

Agenda 2030 will end in 2030.

IDDC will make recommendations to make sure that the rights of people with disabilities are included after 2030.

2. We want to keep working with other organisations and partners.

When we work together with others, we are stronger at defending the rights of people with disabilities.

3. We want to make sure that people with disabilities and Organisations of Persons with Disabilities take part in our work.

IDDC will work with people with disabilities and Organisations of Persons with Disabilities when we plan activities.
